The Birth of Darth Vader by avimdesign The Birth of Darth Vader by avimdesign
Another piece knocked out in Corel Painter X.

I only did this a few days ago, but it was one of those spare of moment things. I was re-watching EP3: Revenge of The Sith and when I saw this shot I immediately thought about doing a drawing based on this hugely contrasting climax. In the end I used a screen cap for reference and wound up painting a piece, which attempted to capture the birth of Vader and the death of Anakin.

Feels like some shine is missing in the eye, but it's a great portrait!

Where can I get the Corel software at a good price? I've been looking for it on Ebay but I'm not sure if i should buy it there.

This is such an eerie part of the film that gives me chills every time I've seen it. You recaptured this moment excellently. :D
